Need help sticking to your new year’s fitness resolution?

emerging trends, has revealed the trendiest workouts
for 2019. And there’s good news: they’re easy.
Low impact exercises are the next emerging trend,
signalling a move away from high-intensity training. So
keep your eyes peeled for LISS (Low Impact Steady
State) and HILIT (High Intensity Low-Impact Training)
classes. The point of both? Less stress on your body,
more enjoyment working out.
LISS involves elevating your heart rate to 120-150bpm
and keeping it there for at least 30 minutes. Slow
jogging or using an exercise bike are examples of LISS
workouts. For jogging, track your heart rate and calories

burned with the Garmin Forerunner 645 Music (garmin.
com). For a basic yet effective exercise bike, try the
Reebok One GB50 (reebok.com), which is comfortable
enough for lengthy LISS workouts.
HILIT combines the benefits of HIIT (fat burn,
cardiovascular fitness, endorphin rush) but removes
stress on your joints. A typical HILIT class features gear
such as water rowers and resistance bands, and moves
including mountain climbers and tricep dips. The
