When Charles and Ray Eames (of Eames Chair fame) unveiled the design for their new, compact table radio back
in 1946, it was derided for being too small and too technical-looking, and never made it past the prototype stage.
The US husband and wife team were clearly ahead of the design curve, though, because seven decades on that
rejected masterpiece has been widely adopted by many radio brands... and now it’s been directly revived by Swiss
