Lee Iacocca, 1924-
LEE IACOCCA, WHO LED TWO OF THE BIG
Three auto companies and had become
a household name, died July 2 at his
home in Bel Air, California. He was a
driving force behind the Mustang and
later the Pinto, and would eventually
take the reigns at Chrysler, presiding
over the development of the minivan
and the K-car, while saving the struggling
automaker from potential bankruptcy.
