ev returns from his trip to
India with Asha (son Aadi
is staying on in the country
with family) and confides in Mary
that his break has been far from
restful as his daughter has been
an absolute nightmare. It sounds
like bog-standard behaviour for
a hormonal teenager, but Mary is
convinced there’s more to it than
that – the once bubbly girl has

become withdrawn, and seems to
be hiding something.
Mary’s suspicions are right, as is
revealed when Asha later drops her
bag and a tub of skin-lightening
cream falls out. Neither Mary nor
Dev have any idea she is trying to
bleach her skin – a highly dangerous
practice that could have long-term
side-effects. Can they uncover her
secret before Asha does herself harm?

uggling his life between
his fiancée and his
pregnant ex, it’s a
wonder that chef Robert
has the time to make a piece of
toast, let alone run a restaurant.
And just when it seems things
can’t get any more complicated, he
gets himself into a proper pickle
when he tries to stop Vicky from
moving to Ireland.
Vicky has been offered a new
life in the Emerald Isle by her son
Tyler’s father, Jed. Robert can’t
help feeling jealous of him and,
when he and Vicky return from
a shopping trip and Jed arrives on
the scene, the two men lock horns
and Jed gives Robert a wallop.
As Vicky tends to her former
lover, she tells Robert she’d be
prepared to stay put if he can
offer her something better.
‘Vicky just wants someone to
love her and commit to her,’ says
Kerri Quinn, who plays her.
‘Robert says: “All in good time.”
‘She also wants clarification
that Michelle is out of the picture,
so she heads over to the cobbles.
Robert stops her from confronting

he’s ashamed of her.’
As Robert is later heading out
to get Michelle’s engagement
ring re-sized, Tyler calls to tell
him that he and his mum are
leaving for Ireland any minute.

Robert rushes over to Vicky’s
place, where she says she’s fed up
of being his dirty little secret. But
as he leaves, she finds something
that makes her believe her future
lies in Weatherfield after all.
What has she seen to make her
do such a sudden U-turn?
