t’s a bit of a shock to

see Zak locking lips

with Faith this week,

less than three

months after he buried his

beloved wife Lisa. But equally

surprising is the thought of

Faith being drawn to the hairy

Dingle. The pair may have had

a fling years ago – resulting in the

arrival of Cain – but these days,

Faith likes a suave, sophisticated

man who can woo her with

champagne and posh nosh.

With Zak, she’d be lucky to get

a cup of tea and a pork pie.

The duo have had little to do

with one another since Faith swept

into the village two years ago, but

they’re now living under the same

roof at Wishing Well; Zak having

allowed Faith to move in.

Faith can see that Zak is still

grief-stricken, and makes it her

mission to get him smiling. As

they reminisce, he lets out a hearty

laugh, but feels so bad for having

fun that he storms off.

Eventually, Faith gets him

talking again, and they discuss

how Cain has turned his life

around. As they connect over

their son, they end up kissing.

‘It’s a mad moment of comfort

for each other,’ explains Steve

Halliwell, who plays Zak. ‘Faith

is feeling down about Pollard

ending their relationship, and

Zak is feeling lost and lonely

without Lisa.

It’s unplanned

and it shocks

them both.’

The pair

break off when

the rest of the

family return

home, and with

Zak feeling

guilt-ridden,

they later

arrange to meet up in The Woolpack

cellar for a post-kiss confab.

‘Zak feels like he has betrayed

Lisa,’ adds Steve, ‘and to appease

his guilt, he wants to tell everyone

what they’ve done. But Faith says,

“Don’t be so wet!” – at which point,

a pipe comes off the beer barrel

and they get soaked.’

The fuse box also gets drenched,

causing the power to go out upstairs.

Chas and Charity blame Bear,

who’s suspicious when a

bedraggled Zak and Faith then

emerge. He wrongly assumes

they’ve had a secret liaison in the

cellar, and when Faith thinks that

Zak is going to expose their earlier

snog, she deflects the attention

back on to Bear by blurting out

that he’s illiterate. How will the

‘outed’ wrestler react?
