Saluting

Dad’s Army
● FACTUAL /
7pm / Yesterday

Another chance to see
this four-part celebration
of one of our most beloved
sitcoms, first shown last
year. In this first episode,
Alexander Armstrong –
clearly a big fan – looks at
the inspiration for the
show alongside archive
footage and interviews
with actors from the very
earliest episodes and
members of the production
team. ★★★★ FW

Handmaid’s

Tale
● DRAMA / 9pm / C4
After almost losing her
sanity, June is plotting
again, but needs the help
of someone powerful.
Commander Lawrence
remains an enigma, but
when the Waterfords turn
up at his house with Cmdr
Winslow in tow, his loyalty
to Gilead is ultimately
tested. When he finally
realises whose side he’s on,
what does it mean for
June and her audacious
plan? ★★★★★ RM

The Misadventures of

Romesh Ranganathan

● TRAVELOGUE / 9pm / BBC2
Romesh is in Bosnia and Herzegovina
to find out whether there is more to the
country than its association with the war.
His guide is curator Skender Hatibovic,
who takes him to his accommodation –
War Hostel, where its owner, Zero One,
has recreated an underground facility

complete with sound effects and pedal-
power lights. Later, Romesh rides the 1 984
Olympic bobsleigh track and gets down
with the kids for a ski lesson at a world-
class resort. ‘Did you know Sri Lankan
people are not meant to ski?!’ he yells, as
he hurtles into the white abyss. ★★★★ MC

Dragons’ Den
● REALITY / 8pm / BBC2

NEW

Dragons’ Den returns for a 17th series with new
recruit Sara Davies. At 35, the founder of craft
supplies company Crafter’s Companion is the youngest
ever Dragon, but what she doesn’t have in years she
makes up for with experience, know-how and bags of
personality! But how will she deal with an entrepreneur
and his germ-free toilet brush? Will Sara poo-poo the
idea or will said chap be flushed with success? ★★★★ MD

Poldark
● DRAMA / 9pm / BBC1
Poor Morwenna. Hasn’t she been through
enough already? Clearly not – once again
she is in utter torment, this time over her
separation from her beloved John Conan.
Seeing his wife so shattered forces Drake
to make the foolish decision to kidnap her
son from formidable Lady Whitworth
(Rebecca Front). Can Demelza save the

day before he’s locked up? Meanwhile,
in London, George is back to his old ways,
joining forces with his new slave-owning
allies to bring down Ross and Ned for
good. Their plot results in Ned’s dramatic
arrest, but can Ross free him from prison
for a second time or has luck finally run
out for the volatile Irishman? ★★★★★ HD
