‘Even though I’ve stuck to themes I clearly love – the seaside, pubs and

Jane Austen’s unfinished 1817 novel has been
adapted into an eight-part drama by award-
winning writer Andrew Davies. Curfew’s Rose
plays Charlotte Heywood, who moves to the
seaside town of Sanditon. ‘She’s modern,
headstrong, with heart and a voice,’ says Rose.
