besidesmandatinganationalminimum
wage,andtheOSHWCaimstoimprove
workingconditions.InNovember2018,
theInternationalLabourOrganization
saidthat 31 percentofIndianworkers
wereworkinginunhealthyconditions
whilearound 41 percentofthemsaid
theywerepoorlypaid,givingIndia
abottom-endrankof#19among 22
countriesoftheAsia-Pacificregion.
Thebillsarebeingmarketedas

simplifythecountry’scomplexlabour

definitionsunderdifferentlaws.The
