AFV Edition
John Murphy builds
Tamiya's new 1:35
M551 Sheridan tank,
adding a scratchbuilt
turret bin and a heap
of stowage for a very
lived-in look
A
s the Editor gave his initial impressions of
Tamiya’s all new M551 Sheridan in Issue
92, I will not cover the same ground again,
other than to say it certainly has been a
welcome addition to the Tamiya range and we
finally have a really nice kit of this controversial
vehicle. I opted to replace the kit’s link and length
tracks with a set of Friulmodel’s white-metal tracks.
I only did this as I already had these in my stash,
left over from a project I abandoned using the
Academy M551. I eventually gave up on this,
as the Academy kit suffered from just too many
mistakes to continue with it.
