KIT NO.3683

L

ike the Russian military, Zvezda launched
their base variant in of the Tiger-M 2016,
albeit in 1:35 kit-form. They followed that
with the 'Kornet-D' ATGM missile-armed
machine and now we have a third release
that comes with the Arbalet remote-controlled
weapons turret. This device is fitted with a
12.7mm Kord heavy machine gun, plus a row
of smoke dischargers. Zvezda's kit of the Tiger
is superb; it's one of the
company's new generation
models so the mouldings are
very sharp, with excellent
detail and a great fit of parts.
The tyres are moulded in soft
synthetic vinyl and they are
pretty good, but for ultimate
realism, best replaced with
a weighted resin set (DEF
Model make a set for the
Meng Tiger and they should
fit with a little modification).
The new parts for the turret,
bonnet and other items are as
well detailed as the rest of the
kit (not always the case with
some manufacturers) and their
locations are shown clearly

in the instructions. Great detail, cool modern
Russian subject and a neat new version U

Availability;
Zvezda models are widely available from
good model shops and online. UK import and

EASY TIGER!

The 'Tiger-M' is the modern Russian army's

standard, multi-purpose armoured vehicle

and numerous versions of it have manifested

themselves in the handful of years since its

launch in 2016. Now, we have the Arbalet
