SILVERSTONE CLASSIC WEEKEND WINNERS

Wood retired his newly built Nissan Skyline.
Grahame Bryant (Simoniz Chevrolet
Camaro Z28) made the Tony Dron Trophy
Group 1 running but was delayed by traffic
entering the pits at the early caution, thus
fell behind the Capris of Mike Whitaker,
John Spiers and George Pochciol/James
Hanson. Olly Bryant gobbled the V6 trio
up before the chequer.
Aston Martin pro Darren Turner settled
into the breakaway group in Saturday’s Mini
60th Anniversary race then diligently picked
his rivals off to win by a whisker from Chris
Middlehurst and BTCC stalwart Adam
Morgan. Morgan deposed Middlehurst on
the penultimate lap to win the event finale.
Chris was excluded for a flag infringement,
which promoted Ian Curley to second and
Michael Caine to the podium.
