The Role
This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of our highly skilled team working at the pinnacle
of Formula One. Red Bull Technology is looking to recruit a talented Engineering Software
Developer to develop and support its range of bespoke in-house analysis tools. Working from
our Milton Keynes factory you will be part of a small team and provide key software tools to
the aerodynamics department. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in rapid focussed
development of transformative tools for highly demanding internal customers, focussed on
improving speed, correlation, quality and robustness.
We require an engineer who is educated to degree level in Applied Mathematics or Computer
Science with extensive experience in the development of telemetry and data analysis software
and excellent software development skills. They will also be experienced in agile software
development, developing software for Linux and Windows and familiar with scripting languages


  • particularly BASH and python.
    The team works on a diverse range of projects, so experience with some of the following would
    be beneficial:

  • kdb+ and q with Kx Control, Streams and Dashboards

  • C#, .NET and integrating with other technologies such as SQL, C++, Kafka and JavaScript

  • MS SQL Server, relational database design and replication

  • Development of Machine Learning systems using technologies such as TensorFlow

  • Interfacing software to, and development in Matlab and Simulink

  • Race telemetry systems
    You should be self-motivated and proactive, with excellent communication skills and the
    ability to work to very tight deadlines within a dynamic team environment, often with minimal
    supervision.

R0000833 – TYRE SIMULATION ENGINEER
We are seeking a highly motivated, flexible and innovative engineer capable of working to the
highest standards to join our Vehicle Performance Group as a Tyre Simulation Engineer.
The Vehicle Performance Group’s function is to provide direction and solutions to maximise the
performance of future car concepts, in season development steps and optimise the performance
of the car during race events.
The primary purpose of the role is to improve car performance with a particular focus on the
tyre behaviour and utilisation.
Responsibilities are:


  • To correlate our physical models to track data

  • To implement tools to analyse car and simulation data

  • To support development and correlation of tyre models in the vehicle simulator

  • To perform pre-event simulations aimed at tyre performance on track
    The successful candidate will have a strong academic background with a master’s degree or
    PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or Physics and a very good working
    knowledge of Matlab / Simulink. Knowledge of vehicle dynamics principles and tyre dynamics
    would be an advantage. You will interact with various groups within the organisation and will
    therefore need good communication and teamwork skills.
    While not essential, previous experience in Motorsport will be beneficial. The role is primarily
    factory based. With the requirement of providing data analysis and support during race events,
    flexible approach to working hours is essential.

Design and Development Engineer


Based in Leeds, Ginetta has been building British road and
race cars since 1958 - but since its purchase by LNT Group
in 2005, the company has grown to become one of the most
significant players on the global motorsport scene.

With racing pedigree throughout the business; Ginetta
and Team LNT have raced at LMP1 level in Le Mans, with
group chairman Lawrence Tomlinson himself winning the
2006 GT2 class. The Ginetta G40 and G55 are a mainstay
of both national and international racing. Current projects
include LMP1 Le Mans Prototype entered into the 2019/20
World Endurance Championship, the exciting Akula Supercar
unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and the new 2020 LMP3
car.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Design and
Development Engineer to join the Ginetta Design Team.


  • Design components and assemblies from the conceptual
    stage to final part checking, fitment and testing

  • Analyse parts and assemblies with regards to stress,
    aesthetics, ergonomics, fitment, materials, finish & budget

  • Prepare detailed 3D models and 2D drawings

  • Self-manage your work load with guidance and work
    with other team members to produce the best possible
    products and deliver to deadlines

  • Proficient with 3D CAD, CATIA V5 or Solidworks preferred
    although other systems will be considered and training is
    available

Performance Engineer Motorsport (M/F/D)

  • Develop further analysis tools and techniques

  • Make proposals for car performance improvements and
    perform specifi c analysis for technical departments

  • Performing analysis using simulation tools (offl ine & DIL)

  • Compile detailed technical reports
