Show time at Windsor


Sunday 8th September, 2019is the date
for the ever-popular Macquarie Towns Show
Day, held at the picturesque Macquarie Park,
just over the Windsor Bridge on the banks of
the Hawkesbury River. As well as bikes from
the host Macquarie Towns club, visitors are
welcome to display their own bikes, from the
veterans up to 2009. Prizes are awarded in all
categories, including visitors. Sausage sizzle,
coffee, tea and soft drinks are available. Show
runs from 10am to 2pm, and entry is free. For

Organisersof the All-Historic Racing weekend
at Wakefield Park, Goulburn on August 31 –
September 1 (Fathers Day weekend) have been
busy adding extra attraction to go with the
weekend of racing that caters for the earlier
categories. Over the weekend, there will be a
classic motorcycle and car display. Owners of
display vehicles will receive a discounted
admission price of just $10. To register, contact

New Tenerebreaks cover


As part of Yamaha’s 64th Birthday celebrations at the company’s Sydney headquarters on July 1st, the
all-new Tenere 700 made its public bow. Replacing the XT600-based Tenere 600, which has been around
in one form or another since 1983 and has been one of Yamaha’s biggest-sellers worldwide, the new
model is based on the highly successful parallel twin MT-07 platform and will be available in three
versions when it goes on sale later in 2019.

By the time you read thisthe annual Antique
Motorcycle Weekend at Bulli, south of Sydney, will be
just weeks away. Organisers have restricted entries in
the very popular Prestige Motorcycle Auction to
quality over quantity this year, with a dozen specially
selected motorcycles up for sale. The list includes
three Harleys; a 1939 Knucklehead Bobber, a 1934 V
Model, a 1949 EL Electra Glide, and a 1991 Heritage.
There are two Indians: a 1942 442 4-cylinder and a
1940 Chief, three Triumphs – a 1959 TR6/B Trophy, a
1961 Tiger and a 1966 T120R, a 1969 Norton

This BSA Rocket three will go under the hammer at the AMCA weekend.

Commando and a 1960 Atlas, and a 1972 BSA Rocket
3 that has been totally restored with no expense
spared. It has been fitted with a new 5-speed gearbox
and a Grimeca 4 leading shoe front brake but the
original wheel is included.
In addition to the auction there will be numerous
club displays for all brands of motorcycle 35 years or
older, AMCA Judging and a massive open-air display of
