across the 15(17;17;21;21) c/off

TO MAKE UP
Darn in all loose ends of yarn at
back of work and cut away excess
yarn carefully.
Fold the sleeves in half and
place the fold in the centre of the
shoulder seam. Sew the sleeves in
position working from the shoul-
der seam outwards and stitching
it 12(13;14;15;16)cm into the yoke
sections on both the Fronts and
the Back piece.
Using a mattress stitch join the
side and sleeve seams.
Sew on buttons to correspond
with buttonholes.
Don’t iron – you’ll flatten the
textured stitches. Rather pin the
jacket out to the measurements
given, cover with clean, damp tea
towels and leave to dry. S

measures 13(15;20;27;30)cm from
beg, ending with a RS row.
Change to 4mm Ns.
Work 3 rows in g st.
This will form a ridge and define
the yoke patt.
Change to 5mm Ns.
Work yoke patt as folls:
1st row (RS): [p1, k1 tbl] 2(2;4;4;5)
times, p1, k8, [p1, k1 tbl] 4(5;5;5;5)
times, p1.
2nd row: k9(11;11;11;11), p8,
k5(5;9;9;11).
