Margot Robbie, Leonardo DiCaprio,
Brad Pitt and a host of other stars
channelled old-fashioned
Tinseltown at the UK premiere of
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood
in London’s Leicester Square.
The film, directed by Quentin
Tarantino, is set in 1969 Los
Angeles and follows fictional
fading TV star Rick Dalton
(Leonardo) and his stunt double
Cliff Booth (Brad), navigating a
changing film industry. Margot,
who wore a burnt orange Oscar de
la Renta gown to the premiere,
stars as ill-fated real-life actress
Sharon Tate.
Brad, who starred in Quentin’sInglourious Basterds, told Hello!:
“The whole experience with
Quentin is pretty light because most
of the time we were telling stories.
He’s telling stories, we’re telling
stories, and we do not interrupt a
story for a take – we’ll get to the
take, but the story comes first.”
Leonardo, who starred in
Quentin’s Django Unchained,
revealed he had wanted to reunite
with the director, saying: “I try my
best to work with directors that I
feel have something to say and
have a great vision.”
