As if it werenotCorvette nirvanaenough to
own twoNCRSFligh tAward-winning cars,Jeff
wasn’tquite finished when it came to Corvettes
and he hassince added a1964 C2Corvette
Sting Ray 327cuin 365bhpRoadstertohis
collection, in early 2018. Thiswaspurchased
in the UK and was previouslyknown to him.
“I asked fellowCAPS owner DavidVan Haaren
(1963 CorvetteSplit Window owner and
front cover star ofClassic Americanmagazine
CA320/Dec 2017)to helpme check thecar’s
originality,”explains Jeff. “Followingafew
afternoonsessionsof teaand NCRS judging
manuals, we bothagreed thatotherthansome
signs of paintwork rectification in places, it really
was atimewarpexample, withonly 49,000
miles and two USA owners. It alsohas the rarer
365bhp model andwas trulyagood find. As
Ihavethe pleasure of being‘El Capo’ of the
CAPS,Ihave enjoyed takingmyCorvettes
andletting various other CAPS members drive
them tonumerousshows throughout our
inaugural year.”
Jeff foundedCAPS in 2018. It’saclub
for enthusiasts who appreciateand are
interested inpreservingCorvettes, whatever
