im Kardashian has been
an incredibly supportive
wife. Whenever Kanye
West goes on one of his
notorious social media
rants, she publicly defends
him. When he struggles with his mental
health, she’s his number one supporter.
And when the rapper-designer appeared
on the August cover of Forbes in
celebration of the wild success of his
brand Yeezy’s collaboration
with Adidas – the venture is
now worth $1 billion – Kim
took to Instagram to praise
him. ‘He inspires me every
single day,’ she wrote. ‘I’m
so happy that he’s finally
getting the recognition and
credit that he deserves.’
But it all comes at a price.
After five years of marriage
and four kids later, and as
they navigate increasingly
disparate careers, ‘Kim and Kanye are
living totally separate lives,’ a source tells
OK!. ‘They barely spend any time together
and keep completely different schedules.’
At this point, Kim, 38, and Kanye, 42,
‘have settled into their own “normal,”’
adds the source. ‘Neither knows how to
compromise or change, so they just let
each other live their own lives.’
The sad truth has been particularly
apparent over the past month or so.
‘Kanye has travelled without Kim to
Colorado, Tokyo, Alabama and Utah, andAfter five years of marriage, they’re being pulled in different directions

spent days on end in the studio. He has
his hands in a million different projects- that’s how he likes to live,’ says the source.
‘And he’s not slowing down anytime soon.
Kanye is totally dedicated to his work.
That will never change.’
To be fair, Kim is also ‘busier than ever’,
adds the source. Between her reality
show, KKW Beauty brand, prison reform
work, legal studies – she plans to take the
bar exam in 2022, so she can become a
lawyer – and raising North,
six, Saint, three, Chicago,
19 months, and Psalm,
three months, there’s no
time for anything else.
‘She’s cut off all her
friends and is super-
focussed. She literally has
no free time,’ explains the
source. ‘I think she’s in way
over her head with four
kids, a huge workload and
zero help from Kanye.’
She does have help, though. ‘Kim’s
nannies, assistants and other staffers
keep her life, career and family running
smoothly,’ admits the source. ‘But
sometimes she wishes she had her
husband to carry more of the weight.’
Kanye doesn’t mean to hurt Kim, nor
she him. ‘Kanye absolutely adores Kim.
It may not be the most conventional of
marriages, but he thinks she is absolute
perfection,’ says the
source, but adds, ‘Kanye
is hardly ever home.’
