agricultural industry, its
near-constant drought
conditions, and fluctuat-
ing energy prices have
created a perfect niche
for the Polaris pump
automation controller.
It’s a small device resem-
bling a loaf of bread that
attaches to an irrigation
pump and allows farmers
to remotely turn the pump
on and off depending on
energy prices at any given
time —data that Polaris
monitors and pipes to its
clients. This is especially
useful on some of the
biggest farms Polaris
serves, where pumps can
be as far as 18 miles apart.
