regularlywithherhusband,John,andtheirthreechildren,

Daisy,BettyandBilly.Passionatesailors,EmmaandJohn

lovedexploringthecoastoftheRoselandpeninsula.‘One

afternoon,weweremooredinanestuarynearStMawes

whenwespotteda houseforsale,’saysEmma.‘Wehad

beenconsideringbuyinga holidayhomeintheareaand

thepropertyinstantlyignitedourinterest.Inside,it wasfull

ofcharmandelegance,anditslocationandglorioussea

viewswonusover.Wemadeanofferimmediately.’

Thecoupleboughtthehousein 2014 andbeganan

extensiverenovation.Emma,whorunsaninteriordesign

company,andJohn,co-founderofNeptune,knewjust

whattheywanted.‘Thehousewasingoodcondition,but

wewantedtoturnit intoa familyretreat,’explainsEmma.

‘Althoughourchildrenarenowgrownup,wewanted

tomeetthemthereasoftenaspossible,socomfort,

convenienceanda feelingofcalmwereourpriorities.
