sufferedwithcrippling
anxietyfromherchildhood
throughtoher20s– all
becauseshestruggled with
herparents’fame.
Speakingofhertimeat
university,Chloesays,‘I was
sucha f**kingmess.WhenI left
uniandstartedtohaveserious
relationshipswithmen,I became
incrediblyinsecureaboutthefact
thatI wasmyparents’daughter.
‘I’ddrinkfourorfivenightsa
week,I’dchainsmokeevery
day.I wassounhappy.’
Itallcametoa headin 2011when
Chloehada ‘completemeltdown’after
performingonDancingOnIce,and
discoveredhermumJudy,71,hadalso
sufferedwithanxietyforyears.
Chloe reveals, ‘She told me that in her

earlyTVdays,

everydayfor

overa yearshe’dgetsoanxiousbefore

shehadtogoonairthatshe’dvomit.

‘WhenI thoughtback,I realisedI’dbeen

havingpanicattacksmywholelife,way

backintomychildhood.Forexample,

I wasreallybadatmathsandwouldhave

minorbutveryrealanxietyattacksbefore

mathslessons– increased

heartrate,shortness

ofbreathandpanic.’

Sheadds,‘I didn’t

realisewhatI’dbeen

feelinguntilI startedDancing

OnIce.I amnota performer

in anyway,shapeorform,

andthatwasthesparkforme.

Allofa sudden,anxietyflipped into

full-onpanicattacks.’

Chloe– whois nowa qualifiedpersonal

trainer– is feelinga lotlessanxiousthese

days, and she puts the change down to

buildinghersuccessful career in the

fitnessindustry.

‘It tookmeawayfrombeingRichard

andJudy’sdaughter,’sheexplains.‘It’s

savedmein somanyways.I stillhave

self-esteemissues,butI don’twakeup

andstartfeelingtheanxiety.’

Shealsosaysthat,forher

mumanddad,welcoming

a grandsona yearago–

herbrotherJack’sbaby,Kit

• hasgiventhem‘a new
  leaseoflife’andthey’ve even
  ditchedalcohol.
  ‘Theylookamazing!’Chloegushes.
  ‘Theytaketheirownnon-alcoholicwine
  everywhere.Mentally,physically–
  everything– theyarebrilliant.They look
  younger.Theyactyounger.'
