Once Upon a Time...
in Hollywood
Out 14 August
Quentin Tarantino gives
us his juicy take on 1960s
Hollywood and the Manson
family with this sprawling
tale starring Leonardo
DiCaprio as a fading TV star,
Brad Pitt as his stunt double
and friend, and Margot
Robbie as his famous
neighbour Sharon Tate. Shot
with Tarantino’s customary
wit, the story surveys the
advent of hippies and the
changing of the guard in
Hollywood. Mostly, however,
this is a meditation on fame.

Dora and the
Lost City of Gold
Out 16 August
For her first big-screen
adventure, the seven-year-old
animated heroine from kid’s
TV series Dora the Explorer
has become a live-action
teenager (Isabela Moner),
though still accompanied by
Boots the monkey and her
trusty purple backpack. Here
she is sent from her home in
the jungles of South America
to high school in LA, but it isn’t
long before she’s back in Peru,
striving to save her treasure-
seeking parents (Eva Longoria,
Michael Peña) from an evil
gang of mercenaries.
