andstartsyellingathimtoshutup.It’s
a perfectexampleoftheseries’light-
heartedtone.Thehumourcouldhave
easilybeenobnoxious,butthewriters
managetokeepthecharactersand
dialogueontherightside of endearing.
BORNTOBEBAD
In thefirstgame,BadCompanygoesup
againsta ruthlessmercenaryarmyallied
withtheRussianscalledLegionnaire.The
squadlearnsthattheirmercenariesare
paidin goldbars,andfindingthistreasure
becomestheirmainobjective,even
thoughthey’resupposedtobefighting
fortheAmericans,notthemselves.The
gameendswiththemdrivingintothe
sunsetin a truckloadedwithbullion,but
betweenthispointandthebeginning
ofBadCompany2 they’recapturedand
returnedtothefrontline.Now,however,
thankstotheirexploitsin thefirstgame,
they’vebeengivena specialassignment
torecovera dangerousEMPweaponfrom
theRussians.TheUSArmystillconsiders
thema liability,buthasbegrudgingly
acknowledgedtheirskillin battle.
Beforewerejointhegang,thegame
takesusbacktotheautumnof1944,toan
islandin theSeaofJapan.A smallteam
