exciting Zulu “indlamu” dance moves
had us grinning with envy.
He was just the best and will be re-
membered for being instrumental in
the struggle against apartheid. Who
amongst us could have ditched his own
race and culture to embrace that of
another? He did that.
To the families of Batchelor, Clegg
and Small, I send my deepest sympathies
and condolences.
God has spoken and who are we to
question His will?
You left your mark, guys. Rest in peace,
till we meet again.

WORK FOR SUCCESS
Some of us still believe there are people
who were born to succeed while others
are destined to remain poor all their
lives.
Life is what you make it, and fortune
favours those who work hard.
When you work hard, people think
you’re wasting your time and energy.
But when you succeed, they think you
were born to be on top.
South Africa is rich with opportunities.
That’swhatattractsthosefrom foreign
countries to our shores.
You can only spot opportunities if you
have a dream and a passion to make it
happen.
To build something successful you
need a solid foundation.
Most successful people have had their
share of hardships but persisted until
they reached their destiny.
We must learn to ignore the critics and
patiently build our own foundation.

CLOSE CALL
An asteroid named 2019 OK zipped past
Earth a few weeks ago, missing it by just
70 000km.
Former American defence secretary
William Cohen warned that an asteroid
collision with our planet had the poten-
tial to wipe out humanity.
Earth is in a constant game of celestial
bumper cars, colliding with and oblite-
rating the relatively small space rocks
that cross its path. But there’s no doubt
that sometime in the future our world
will suffer another disastrous cosmic
impact and unless we prepare for it we’ll
surely become extinct like the dinosaurs
of days gone by.
