“It’s marble and onyx and has been

Corden. “I told you, bathing is my hobby.”

Oprah got fans’ hopes up recently by

hinting that she misses her talk show

and may do a reboot.

“I would love to make that happen, let

me tell you. But maybe not every day,”

she recently told Entertainment Tonight

Canada, where she was promoting her

new book, The Path Made Clear: Discov-

ering Your Life’s Direction and Purpose.

“For 25 years, it was perfect. But I do

miss it during an election or when some-

thing really big happens in the news.

Then I think, ‘Oh, gee, I wish I had a

show’.”

If she did revive her show, Stedman

would be behind her all the way. There’s

nothing Oprah can’t do, he believes.

“Number one, she’s smart. Two, she

The key to staying with a partner as

phenomenally successful as Oprah has

been to find his own happiness.

“I explored my own skills, my own tal-

ents, my own abilities and I’m satisfied

with that.

“The combination, when you have

a partner who’s able to self-actualise

their potential and you’re able to self-

actualise yours, then you know, one and

one equals about six.”

Stedman, who’s published 12 books

• in the self-help, motivational and busi-
  ness genres – has been married before
  and is grandfather to his daughter
  Wendy’s four-year-old daughter.
  Spending time with his daughter and
  grandchild is one of his favourite pas-
  times – but it’s Oprah who owns the
  almost 2m tall Stedman’s heart.
  He’d go to the ends of the earth for her,
  he says, and he’s behind her no matter
  what she decides to do – and that in-
  cludes her stand on running for the US
  presidency.
  Oprah has vehemently denied she’ll
  run and Stedman is behind her even
  though he believes she has “all the qual-
  ities to become president”.
  “You can trust her. She’s one of the
  greatest communicators in the world.
  She’s self-made. Nobody gave her any-
  thing. She also cares about people and
  she has empathy.”
  But she isn’t going to run, he adds, and
  people shouldn’t get their hopes up.
