How long have you been a Larne FC fan?
I have been supporting Larne FC since I was a young
boy, my father and grandfather were both big fans, my
earliest memory was probably when Johneen Black was
manager.What has been your most memorable moment as a Larne FC fan?
There have been some great moments following Larne and winning
the Ulster Cup in 1987 is our biggest achievement, the last time we
gained promotion in 2003 away to Bangor was another memorable
day but last year’s league campaign will live long in the memory,
What are your predictions for the season ahead?
If we finish anywhere in the top six I think it will be a fantastic season,
hopefully we can progress to the later stages of the cup competitions
getting to a final would be a fantastic occasion for the town.
If you could choose any footballer to join Larne FC who would it
be?
Within the Irish league goal scorers like Joe Gormley and Andy
Waterworth would be great signings, however I am happy with how
we have been doing transfer business and looking at players from
outside of the Irish league. I think people will be impressed with
players like Graham Kelly, Fuad Sule and Ben Tilney.
What makes Larne FC unique?
I believe Larne FC is a special club because we are a relatively small
town where people stick together. The term sleeping giant is a bit
over the top but we always believed with investment this football
club had alot to offer the Irish league, never in our wildest dreams did
we think we would receive such a major investment not just for the
football club but the whole town.
