KALEIDOSCOPE OF COLOUR
Step away from the stark whites and give
those sea-foam blues a break in your bathroom
spaces, as we explore the latest and greatest
colour trends for this all-important room with
Bassetts.

Mod monochrome
Monochrome doesn’t have to be just black
and white. The latest take on monochrome is
a contemporary update using clever colour
blocking. It’s all about picking one striking
colour and carrying this throughout the space

  • on the walls, through towels and bathroom
accessories. We suggest a jewel-toned emerald
green throughout the bathroom with gold or
brass fixtures for a regal finish.

Complementary colours
It’s time to whip out the colour wheel
because this top trend involves the use of
complementary colours to add depth and
interest. Think dark, rich blues with mustard
yellow for a striking contrast or shades of pastel
pink and mint for a softer take on the trend.

The tiles have it
One of the easiest ways to bring a splash of
colour to your bathroom is by introducing a

funky, patterned or coloured tile. Bassetts carry
a range of bathroom and floor tiles in every
size, colour and finish imaginable. We love
hexagonal or subway tiles as a feature wall used
behind the shower, two-toned ‘ombre’ tiles for a
pop of colour, or classic marble tiles which work
on every surface in the bathroom.

Bold baths
One of our favourite new bathroom trends is
the introduction of coloured tubs. Be it shiny
copper, millennial pink or a matt vampy shade,
the unexpected element of colour brings so
much character to the often-stark baths we’re
all used to. Why not match your tub to your
walls for a monochromatic feel and tick off two
trends in one?

Fix those fixtures
Last-but-not-least, don’t neglect those fixtures!
Gone are the days when chrome taps were
our only option. We’ve seen everything from
brushed gold, to matt black and bubble-gum
pink bathroom fixtures adding some serious
style points to even the smallest bathroom
spaces. The colour combinations are endless if
you’re feeling adventurous!
