‘CREATING WAVES’ AS

INSTITUTE OF WATER

CONFERENCE COMES

TO BELFAST

The conference kicked off with a President’s Dinner at Belfast City Hall.
Hosted by Sara Venning, IoW President and CEO of NI Water, guests were
treated to a drinks reception courtesy of Belfast City Council and Geda
Construction while the main event was sponsored by Fujitsu, with Marsh
Mercer sponsoring the Innovation Award. During the 2 day conference,
delegates heard how changes to the environment, pollution and the
emergence of new technologies are causing ‘disruption,’ to populations
around the world. Chaired by Wendy Austin MBE, delegates had the
opportunity to network with speakers from businesses and key sponsors
including Fujitsu, Kier Construction the Graham Group, Visit Belfast, Geda
Construction, Neueda, Meridian Utilities, Atkins and Arup. Delegates also
attended a Game of Thrones themed charity event sponsored by Z Tech in
aid of WaterAid at the Dark Horse, Cathedral Quarter.
