Q. I love my brunette hair when it’s been freshly
coloured, but after a few weeks it starts to look
a little dull and lacklustre. How can I restore it
to its freshly-coloured glossiness in between
appointments?
A. Nothing quite beats that salon-fresh feeling but
unfortunately, colour is prone to fading. Everything
from sunlight to hard water and unsuitable products
can cause premature fade or dullness. Try to avoid
the use of too many silicones on the hair – these are
present in many serums and sprays and although they give the illusion of
creating shine, long term use can cause build-up, which leads to a duller-
