he hunter’s horn sounds earlier for some, later for others, and for many,
not at all.”
Robert Ruark, one of my favorite writers, penned those words many
years ago in his book, Horn of the Hunter. If I’ve read that book once, I’ve read it a
hundred times. Like many who make Alaska their home we live here for that sound,
the adventure and the freedom that the Last Frontier offers.
Like most of us, the reason I hunt is because of my father. His influence during
endless outdoor excursions with me in tow is the biggest reason I love to pursue big
game and have a true passion for the outdoors.
