the bands is what I was interested in—and
it wasn’t just rock, there’s a huge heritage
of punk and jazz around here too—not that
there was anybody else around here to get
tattooed by! I love my work and I still do—
tattooing still interests me. I’m not just do-
ing it by numbers, but it’s a fast way down to
the bottom if you announce to the world you
only do one type of thing!”
With the tattooing world pretty much
unrecognisable from how it used to be back
then, I wonder if Dennis feels like he still fits
in... if he ever fitted in!
