Goodwood opened its doors to 200,000
spectators for its annual Festival of Speed
and FoS Future Lab. Cartier MD Laurent
Feniou hosted a competition on the lawn of
the Goodwood Estate for the 2019 Cartier
“Style et Luxe”, where car connoisseurs
judged a unique and rare collection of cars.
The overall theme of the concours
d’élégance was “speed kings – motorsport’s
record breakers”. It consisted of seven
different categories, with one Best of Show
winner award.
Guests included champions of the
automotive industry such as Daniel
Ricciardo, actor Liam Cunningham, shoe
designer Nicholas Kirkwood and Lord
Snowdon. Overall winner of “the year’s most
beautiful automobile” was Nicholas Edel
with his 1950 Abarth 205 Monza.
