Sa'ada is a mixed-use, waterfront destination that its
developer, government-backed Edamah, describes as one
of the nation’s “most prestigious developments". Located
in Muharraq – the main city on Bahrain’s second-largest
island, situated to the east of Manama – Sa’ada features a
marina, dozens of shops and restaurants, and a footbridge
to Muharraq’s traditional souk. Work kicked off in Q1 2018,
with reclamation required to create an 18,000m² plot and
sea walls to protect the structures within the site. The two-
phase project was 20% complete at the time of the site visit.
