versionofitsentry-levelsupermini,

andit’scalledtheA1Citycarver.

Designedasatrimlevelratherthanitsown

model,theCitycarversitsbetweenSportand

SlinevariantsoftheA1andismarkedout

byitsraisedrideheight,newexteriorstyling

andrangeofuniquepaintfinishes.Prices

areexpectedtostartfromaround£20,000,

withfirstdeliveriesdueintheautumn.

Stylingrevisionsincludeblackplastic

wheelarch mouldings,redesignedside

skirts,silverskidplatesandanewfront

bumperaswellasabonnetwithtwo

high-mountedintakesinsteadofthe

usualthree.Audiclaimsthattherevised

radiatorgrilleisinspiredbyitsSUVs.

TheA1Citycarver’srideheightis

around40mmtallerthanthestandardA1’s,

thankstoitsraisedsuspension.Buyerscan

add18-inchwheels,aswellasAudi’s

dynamicpackage,whichbringsadjustable

dampersandredbrakecalipers.

three-cylinder,whilethehigher-powered

overthesmallerunit,whilebothcanbe

speccedwitheitherasix-speedmanual

orseven-speedStronicauto.
