In respect of the 331s,likethe 195s,
production beganinJuly2017, and the first
unit arriv ed in the countryinJuly 2018,with
UK testingstarting soonafterwa rds. The
Newportplant also fitsout Class 331 vehicles,
with set No. 331111 the firsttobecompleted.
Once the two classes wereapproved for
use bytheOffice of Rail andRoad inMarch,
it allowedNorthern to step up staff training,
although therewas apause whenaproblem
