We finally fulfilled our dream of getting a camper, this
absolutely beautiful T6 was built by Graham and his wife
at Tuxford Campers. It has everything, DSG, Sportline kit,
20s, coil-overs, Reimo roof, RIB bed, even a TV! We love it
and it has already been put into service for surfing, dinner
at the beach and sleeping by the sea. There are more
adventures planned further afield over the summer with
a trip to France, Belgium and the Netherlands already
booked. Down the line I might swap the head unit for one
with Car Play and the head lights for LED, but for now we
are loving the ‘Dub Life’.

Originally a blacksmith’s van in Ireland, I imported it a few years ago and set about getting
it registered and road legal. It needed new discs all round, a new exhaust, fuel pump and
tyres too. These are mounted on new 17” banded steel wheels. Amazingly there was no
major rust to the body or chassis. All the panels were straight and original, so a new
coat of Ravenna blue was all that was needed to get it sparkly. Panel windows have been
installed and inside is boarded out and lined, carpets have been laid and a three-seater
sliding/removable bench added. I added a home-made foldable table and 240-volt hook up
connections. With a large awning fitted to the side providing extra space for camping with
grand bairns, it’s not a show stopper but it’s our little home from home.
