A

s this issue comes
out in August there’s
every chance you
could be reading this
whilst on holiday. If so, your
holiday features comprise of Lee
Wilson’s stunning grey T6, one
of the coolest buses around at the
moment and tailored precisely
to his needs. Then there’s
Owen Wilson’s White Caddy
Swamper, the first we’ve seen,
but probably not the last. Next is
Jim Mularkly’s Chestnut brown
T6, stuffed to the gunwales with
all the good stuff. John Jeffriss
T4 Doka follows this, now we’ve
feature John’s creations before
and this one is no different, in
that it is entirely different, cool,
stylish and just a little bit ‘out
there’. Our next bus belongs to
Russell McDonald, head honcho
at Teahupo’o VW Campers, this
white T6 showcases what his
company can do. The sixth and
final bus this month is one we’ve
seen before, James Hardcastle’s
(of T17 fame) yellow T4. It’s
changed a hell of a lot since we
last saw it, making it cooler and
quite a bit faster down the strip.
Also, inside the covers this
month, you get the chance to win
one of Forty Winks excellent
Kombi beds and learn how to
uprate the front bushes on a T6.
For our shop tour we visited CJ
Van Designs for the ‘full guided’,

Blimey! Camper Jam, what a blast! Did you go? If not, why not? Another
epic three days in the sun, well mostly in the sun, at Weston Park flew by.
Bigger than ever before and in my opinion better. I realise I can be accused

of bias, as we (Jazz Events) organise it, but judging from the feedback I
have received, you guys thought so too. Cool buses, live music, the best food
vendors and traders, what’s not to love? Alan

report. Occasional contributors,
Martin and Yolanda Hampshire
visited Porthcawl in search of
Elvis and they found hundreds
of them, if not thousands...

This month I have mostly been...

we also dropped in on Thread
and Wires to get the lowdown.
Further afield Harriet and Dan
visited the Barrier Reef on their
epic exploration of Australia in
a home built T5. Whilst closer
to home, Simon visited Dubs
Collective for a club feature
and Steve went to the Carry
On Dubbin show in Tattenhall.
We’re pleased to say he has
made a complete recovery
from the ‘medicine’ he took
there. Who knew you could get
Jagermeister on ‘prescription’?
Our new correspondent, Craig,
visited the showground at
Biggar in Scotland for Volksfling
and delivers his inaugural show
