TECHNICAL LAYOUT


BMW-sourced turbocharged straight six delivers drive to the rear axle alone via an


electronically controlled limited-slip differential. The car’s wheelbase is identical to


that of the BMW Z4 with which it shares so much hardware, although the suspension


geometries are unique. Without a transaxle, the Supra’s weight distribution also


comes in fractionally front-biased, but 51/49 is nothing to be ashamed about.
