Camming in the air tonight
AIR PIX
Want a perfect selfie without
straining to get your phone far
enough away from your face?
Then try Air Pix, a tiny drone
(52g!) with single-touch
controls. One prod and it’s in
the air, ready to shame anyone
with a silly old selfie stick. Just
keep your bouts of narcissism
short: it only has six minutes of
flying time per charge.

Hello, mister radio
VOIZ
All bamboo, cloth and metal,
Voiz makes most modern audio
kit look comparatively cold
and boring. Inside, though,
this love letter to classic radio
is powered by Alexa. So instead
of thumbing a dial, you just
yell at the thing to get at your
favourite stations – which, if
you adore Voiz, presumably
pump out ’50s hits all day.

Outbreaks of vain
AY I
Too many black rectangles
intruding on your living space?
Try a mirrored one instead.
This 32-incher lets you gaze
at your face while calling a
taxi, checking the weather or
perusing your calendar. What
other big screen lets you watch
a YouTube tutorial on looking
fabulous while simultaneously
studying your gorgeous self?

Bud transfusion
WEARBUDS
Wireless earbuds are great
until they run out of juice...
so Wearbuds are recharged
in their companion wristband.
They claim ‘uncompromised
audio quality’, and the band
also serves as a watch, alarm
and health tracker – counting
all the calories you burn while
bopping away to Mabel when
you think no-one’s looking.

Little rad ’book
GPD P2 MAX

GPD’s latest ultrabook makes
even Apple’s MacBook seem like
a giant beast. That’s because the
GPD P2 Max is properly dinky,
weighing just 650g and having a
similar footprint to the iPad Mini.
It nonetheless packs in an 8.9in
2560x1600 touchscreen, an Intel
Core m3–8100Y processor,
fingerprint unlocking, enough
ports to make a MacBook green
with envy, a trackpad, and a
webcam – albeit one that points
up your nose. Remarkably, you
get full-size keys too; and
although there’s multi-function
madness going on to squeeze
special characters in, that just
reminds us of the ZX Spectrum
keyboard – which is good.
