I who have nubbin

This phone’s frosted Gorilla Glass
back does an excellent job of
keeping fingerprints at bay. It’s
quite a hefty handset, but at least
there’s no camera bump – just a
tiny little nubbin to raise the Reno
when it’s laid down on a desktop,
keeping its back scratch-free.

Rock the bloat

We like Android 9 with the latest

version of Oppo’s ColorOS over

the top. But the bloatware here

is obnoxious, constantly invading

the notifications bar. The Oppo

Store goes beyond pushing app

updates – it also hassles you

with promoted games.

Makes no dense at all

The 6.6in AMOLED screen has

a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a pixel

density of 387ppi – making this

about the least sharp flagship you

can get. But colours are punchy,

blacks are inky and viewing angles

are great. Brightness is strong, but

not class-leading.
