clever sharkfin. It’s bold, colourful
and incredibly contrasty. It isn’t
as bright as some rivals, but you
won’t notice that as often as you
would a double punch-hole eating
into your Netflix picture.Q The most important feature is
invisible – 5G. It’s early days for
that, but the hardware is worth
it for futureproofing and coverage
will only improve; the only snag
is, you’ll pay for a full service now
while it’s still maturing. Just as
well, then, that this is one of the
cheapest 5G phones around.Q You get a big battery, 256GB
of storage, a Snapdragon 855 and
beefy stereo speakers, while the
ColorOS interface feels much less
bogged-down with crapware than
it is on the Reno 10x Zoom.Q This thing’s zooming powers

A great choice if you’re
gagging for a 5G phoneThe Reno 5G is a great phone, and one
of the more affordable first-wave 5G
models, but we’re not sure we’d choose
it over the Reno 10x Zoom. You need
a crazy-expensive 5G contract and
there’s a postcode lottery for coverage.
