Small shoulder bag

feels safe. It has room for two lenses, a

flashgun, memory card case, lens cloth, spare

batteries for flash, painkillers, lip balm... I carry

my Canon with lens over my shoulder.”

“LEANNE often paused to review and

check her images. This was good, but

can make the model wonder if

everything is okay. I said that once

she’s happy with her shots, to show

the model how great they look – it

instils confidence that they look good

for the next shots,” says Rebecca.

LEANNE’S COMMENT

Rebecca wanted to

capture a more

dramatic Hollywood look for

this shot with darker, more

moody side-lighting – created

by one window with blinds to our left. She

explained how to expose for skin tones lit by side

light, which then rendered the sofa and blue

background darker and gave them a stronger

contrast. I love Chantelle’s playful pose here,

looking sideways into the distance – Rebecca

explained it creates more of a ‘story’ to the shot

if people aren’t looking at the camera.
