Aug. 27 court
date fast approaching, the
actress and her family are trying
to put on a united front — but
behind closed doors, not all is
forgiven. The spouses are
accused of paying a $500,
bribe to get their daughters,
Isabella Rose, 20, and Olivia
Jade, 19, designated as USC
rowing team recruits so they’d
be accepted into the school, and
the fallout from the scandal has

dynamic. While Lori — who,
along with Mossimo, pleaded
not guilty to the charges
— was once solely focused on
saving face, an insider says
she’s now making it a priority
to repair the damage she’s done
at home. “She’s started to care
less about what the public
thinks of her and is more
concerned with being there for
her girls and her husband,” says
the insider. “She’s been trying
harder to show them she cares
and is sorry they’re distressed.”
Her change in attitude seems to
be working. On July 28, both of
Lori’s daughters returned from

their mom a happy birthday, and
a second source claimed the
family threw her a “low-key”
get-together, where everyone
seemed to be in good spirits.
“The girls are still upset but
they’ve pledged to be there for
their parents,” the first insider
explains. “They know they all
have to stick together — there’s
strength in numbers.”

On July 30, Lori and Mossimo
went shopping, as the pair are
trying to maintain a sense of
normalcy until the trial.
“Right now, they’re just in
limbo,” said the
source.
