Onceyour OS is installed, run it and

it will load inaseparatewindow.

To resizeit, clickView^1 in VirtualBox

and selectFull- screen^2 or Scaled

Mode.^3 Youcan drag the corner of

the scaled windowtoresizeit.^4 Right

Ctrl+CtogglesScaled Mode

on or off.

If your cursorgets trappedinside the

virtual machine,pressing theHost

key (which,by default, is the right Ctrl

key on your keyboard)willfreeit. When

in ScaledorFull-screen mode, the menu

bar at the topvanishes. Pressing

Host+Home displays apop-up menu^1

with all thecommandsyouneed.

To change theresolution, right-

click the newOSdesktopand

select DisplaySettings. Change the

resolutiontothe highestonoffer.

To shut downWindows 10,click the X

in top-rightcorner ofVirtualBox^1

and select either‘Save the machine

state’^2 or ‘P oweroff th emachine’.^3

Manager,then click Snapshots. You’re

shownalistofavailable choices(in the

order theyweretaken)and canrestore

one from there.You’llneed tomakesure

theOSisn’tcurrentlyrunning. You can

alsotakeanewsnapshot anddeleteany

unwanted ones.

Adjustthe settings

ToconfigureVirtualBox, select anOSin

the Manager(but don’t runit) and click

the Settings cog. You can change the

name of thevirtual machineand enable

features suchasShared Clipboardand

Drag ‘n’ Drop through the General,

Advanced section. You canadjustthe

settings for System, Display,Storage,

Audio,Network, USB, Shared Folders and

User Interfacefrom theSettingssidebar.

Removeanoperating system

As mentionedpreviously,you can install

multipleoperatingsystems in VirtualBox

–Windows 7 ,10,thelatestInsider

Preview,Ubuntu, Linux Mintand soon.

If youno longer needanOS, you can

removeit tofree up diskspace.Right-

clickthenameintheManagerand select

Remove.You canchoose todeleteall

files, towipethe OSentirely,orjust

removeit, which leavesthefilesintact.

Youcansavemultiplesnapshotsandload anyofthemdirectlyfrom theSnapshotmenu
