Life’s Journey:
The Art of Katherine Mary Fryer 1910 – 2017

This eclectic collection traces the trajectory of Fryer’s extensive
career – she died aged 106. This Leeds-born artist began her
career selling wood engravings, while becoming friends with
peers including Walter Sickert and John Piper. After losing her
printmaking tools in the Blitz, she turned to painting and was
elected to the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists in 1956.
