The trendsetter:
CLARE WAIGHT KELLER
Artistic director at Givenchy
It’s one thing for a designer to create
a royal wedding dress. It’s another
to make a series of moments that
amount to a chapter for the history
books, as Clare Waight Keller
has done with the wardrobe she
created for Meghan, Duchess
of Sussex, during her first year of
marriage to Prince Harry. She will
also make the history books herself

  • as the first female creative director
    of Givenchy in its existence.

The trailblazer:SINÉAD BURKE
Writer, educator and advocate
If you see clothes for little people hanging on the
rails of luxury shops in the future, thank Sinéad Burke.
She is changing the way we talk about disability
in fashion – literally. She introduced ‘duine beag’
(the Gaelic translation for ‘little person’) to the Irish
lexicon in 2O16 and educates brands and retailers
about the barriers preventing people with disabilities
from engaging with fashion. She has been
recognised by powerful brands and personalities,
including Burberry, Prada, Gucci and will.i.am.

What do Matty Bovan, Simone Rocha, Charles
Jeffrey and Roksanda Ilincic have in common?
Other than being some of the world’s most-feted
designers, they’ve all passed through Fabio Piras’
Central Saint Martins classroom. Taking over
from professor and industry icon, the late Louise
Wilson, Fabio is not afraid to take a gamble on
students and knows how to spot future stars. Matty Bovan
