WH: Were you always
this free or did you have
to work at it?
LT: I struggled with an
eating disorder when I
was a teenager, so I have
a history of being extra
“charged” around my
body. Whenever those
old feelings of judgment
come up, it’s like a stop
sign telling me to look at
what’s really going on in
my life and examine how
I can relax into the cir-
cumstances I’m facing.
WH: How does yoga help
address what’s going on
in your mind?
LT: When I practice yoga,
I’m making a shift from
focusing on the external
to the internal. I start look-
ing inward. When I’m in
my body, I’m not judging it.
Yoga gets me back in.
