I don't like comparing
Body Fit to other gym
chains. I like focusing
on what we do well,
which is a great
variety of strength
and conditioning
programs. This is
going to give you an
overall increase in
your fitness levels.
There is variety,
but that variety is
progressed to help
the body adapt to
the training before
making changes.

last year and one of
the trophies they
gave out was Trainer

literally speechless
when they gave it
to me – I froze in my
acceptance speech!

The challenges
I have to adapt
to everyone’s
individual needs
and personality.
Everyone learns at
different speeds and
having the patience
to take different
approaches to help
clients improve can
be a challenge, but
it’s one that I enjoy.

Common mistakes
Really bad technique
is a common mistake
I see. I’m a trainer who
loves the basics and
keeping it simple, but
you have to do that
really well. Nutritional
mistakes are also
common – calorie
intake is either too
high or too low.

Higher learning


After a five-year AFL
career, Daniel Stewart
studied building design
before realising his
passion lay in the fitness industry.
He originally established his own
gym before starting up the very
first Body Fit Training gym with
the help of Body Fit CEO Cameron
Falloon, who had been his high-
performance coach at Port Adelaide
Football Club. Since then, the chain
has flourished.
