4 Use orange to add more shading
and contrast to each petal.

7 Wet the stem and petals then apply
a light shade of green.

8 Add shading to the leaves and
stem with light brown paint.

9 Let the image dry thoroughly then paint
around the image with the water pen.

10 Add blue paint by squeezing the pen
and fl ooding the area with water so it
pools and creates watermarks.

  • Use permanent ink pads for stamping as water-based inks will
bleed and mix with your colouring.

  • Use good quality watercolour paper – one side has a bumpy
surface and the other is smooth and perfect for stamping.

  • Choose good quality watercolour paints – low-grade ones can
be dull and will fade over time.
