ASSEMBLY

13

Referring to the Quilt Layout
Diagram, lay out the blocks in
six rows of six blocks each, rotating
every alternate block by 90 degrees to
create windmill fan shapes of solid red
and solid aqua across the surface of
the quilt top. Move the blocks around

until you have an array of colours and
prints that you like – double checking
each time you move a block that you
have rotated it correctly in the layout.

14

Join the blocks in each row
together. Press seams in alternate
rows in the opposite direction.

15

Then join the rows, carefully
matching seams. Press.
