This jersey was one of
Primal’s first big hits
and still remains a top
seller. The design came
in 1995 through an artist
who worked with the
screen printer in Tempe,
Arizona, that produced
T-shirts for Primal. The
original design was mod-
ified with the addition of
a cassette in a dog bowl
and a mangled seatpost.
The graphic designer’s
name has been lost in
the intervening decades.
But Primal’s CEO says
he’d love to add the
unknown artist’s signa-
ture to the design if his
identity comes to light.
